ARTICLE 6: DELIVERY
6.1 Delivery Methods
Products purchased on the Site can be delivered worldwide.
We work with different providers for shipping your products based on their type and the desired delivery area.
Our main partners are CHRONOPOST, LA POSTE, GEODIS CALBERSON, and KHUENE NAGEL.
For certain types of oversized products (e.g., rigid boards or paddles) or specific destinations, a "special quote" notice will appear when selecting the delivery type. You can contact us via the contact form to obtain a personalized delivery quote or directly at julie@redwoodpaddle.com.
Redwoodpaddle may offer delivery via express courier or carrier depending on the total weight and nature of the ordered product(s).
Redwoodpaddle may choose to deliver the order in multiple shipments based on the product type, preparation warehouse, or availability of the ordered products (especially for pre-orders).
For pre-orders being delivered in France or to a European Union member country, shipping may be divided to deliver the in-stock items first, with the rest of the order shipped upon receipt of the goods at the estimated arrival date of the pre-order stated at the time of order confirmation.
For pre-orders being delivered outside the European Union, shipping will occur in a single shipment upon receipt of the last item from the pre-order.
6.2 Delivery Charges
Delivery fees are the responsibility of the Customer and are indicated at the time of placing the order before validation and payment.
For all deliveries, the Site automatically calculates shipping costs based on the number and type of products and the delivery address.
6.3 Delivery Times
In general, delivery times vary by destination and are provided for informational purposes only. For delivery:
- In France, estimated delivery ranges from 1 to 3 working days.
- In Europe, estimated delivery ranges from 3 to 15 working days.
- Outside the European Union, with customs clearance, estimated delivery time ranges from 3 to 30 days. Customs clearance time is specific to each destination.
6.4 Delays or Failures in Delivery
Redwoodpaddle makes every effort to meet the delivery times mentioned on our Site.
The Customer's absence or failure to provide delivery information may prevent our partner carriers from delivering the products on the estimated date. In this case, alternative delivery methods may be implemented, which will incur additional shipping fees.
However, we cannot be held responsible for the consequences of delivery delays or lost parcels caused by a third party to the transport contract, by your actions, or due to an unforeseen and insurmountable cause constituting a case of force majeure.
In the event of a delayed delivery, an investigation will be conducted with the carrier and may take at least 5 working days. During this period, no refunds or returns can be made.
ARTICLE 7: RECEIPT OF PRODUCTS
7.1 General Receipt Procedures
We remind you that upon shipment, the risk of accidental destruction, accidental damage, or accidental loss of the delivered goods is transferred to the customer at the moment the goods are handed over to the customer or when the customer fails to accept them.
In all other cases, the risk is transferred to the customer as soon as the goods are delivered to the transport company when the Customer arranges for their transport with a freight forwarder.
It is therefore imperative to check the compliance and integrity of the products in your order in front of the carrier and to indicate, if necessary, on the delivery note or waybill, and in the form of precise handwritten reservations accompanied by your signature, any anomalies concerning them.
To be valid, the reservations must be:
- Written: made at the time of delivery
- Complete: only the damages mentioned in the reservations will be recognized as existing at the time of delivery.
- Precise: describing the delivery anomalies and damages suffered by the merchandise (and not exclusively by the packaging), including references, names of affected items, and impact locations.
In the event of damage to one of your packages:
- Take photos of the package.
- Take photos of the products if the damages are visible.
- Use a reliable timestamping system for the photos.
- Refuse the package. Return shipping fees will not be charged to you.
The reservations made must correspond to the photos and clearly describe the damage suffered by the merchandise.
Without prejudice to the applicable legal guarantees, please report any non-compliance of the products upon delivery as soon as possible by contacting us:
- By email: suivi@redwoodpaddle.com
- By mail: SAS BTR Redwoodpaddle, 4 rue Pen Duick – ZAC Pôle nautique 66140 Canet en Roussillon

The Customer agrees to collect their order within three months following the availability of the last product, during shop opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM.
After this period, the product will be returned to stock, and a flat penalty of €15 will be applied.
ARTICLE 8: RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
8.1 Information on the Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with the legal provisions set forth in articles L.221-18 and L.121-20-12 and following of the Consumer Code, as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase made on the Site, free of charge and without having to justify a reason, within a withdrawal period of 14 days from the receipt of the product.
The calculation of the period begins from the receipt of the package. In the case of an order for multiple products with different delivery dates, the period starts from the receipt of the last product.
8.2 How to Exercise This Right and Exceptions
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify your withdrawal from your customer account within 14 calendar days following the receipt of your order.
This decision must be communicated to Redwoodpaddle within 14 calendar days following the receipt of your order, either via online contact in writing or in person at the store.
For any questions or claims, customer service is available at the following address: sav@redwoodpaddle.com or directly in the contact tab on the website.
8.3 Effects of Withdrawal
From the day of notifying your intention to withdraw, the Customer must return the product(s) following the procedure communicated by Redwoodpaddle within 14 days.
8.4 Returning Products
This right of return will only be accepted for products in their original and complete condition, in perfect condition and unused. Returned items that are incomplete, used, damaged, or soiled by the Customer will not be accepted, or a value determined by Management will be deducted from your refund.
The risks of return shipping are borne by the Customer. In the event of a package lost during return shipping, Redwoodpaddle is not obliged to refund the customer.
Furthermore, in accordance with article L.221-23 of the Consumer Code, the Customer is informed that they may be held liable by the Seller (here Redwoodpaddle) in the event of depreciation of the product resulting from handling other than that necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and proper functioning of these goods.
8.5 Refunds
Only products returned complete, clean, and in perfect condition will be accepted. Otherwise, the return will be deemed non-compliant and will not be refunded by Redwoodpaddle.
Upon receipt of the product at the Redwoodpaddle showroom, the products will be inspected. If the products are deemed compliant, the Customer will be refunded the amount paid for the product(s) and associated delivery costs. If a carrier label was provided by Redwoodpaddle, the amount of that label will be deducted from the total.
Any refund will be made using the same payment method used at the time of the order (this applies to credits, discount codes, or other offers). An order paid for with a gift voucher, for example, will be refunded with a gift voucher.
ARTICLE 9: TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP
9.1 Retention of Title for Redwoodpaddle Products
For sales made in the physical showroom, Redwoodpaddle products remain the property of Redwoodpaddle until full payment of their price is received. Failure to pay may result in the termination of these General Terms and Conditions, leading to the cancellation of the sales contract and the return of the products.
For online sales, Redwoodpaddle products are the property of the purchasing Customer but remain the responsibility of Redwoodpaddle, the seller, during their transit until acceptance of the merchandise by the customer.
ARTICLE 10: LEGAL AND COMMERCIAL WARRANTIES
10.1 Regarding Legal Warranties
Redwoodpaddle is bound by the legal warranty of conformity mentioned in Articles L. 211-4 and following of the French Consumer Code, as well as the legal warranty against hidden defects defined in Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code, summarized below.
10.2 Regarding Legal Warranties of Conformity
Article L211-4 of the Consumer Code states that:
“The seller is required to deliver a good that conforms to the contract and is liable for any conformity defects existing at the time of delivery. The seller is also liable for defects in conformity resulting from packaging, assembly instructions, or installation if these were charged to the seller by the contract or carried out under their responsibility.”
Article L211-5 informs that for a good to be considered in conformity with the contract, it must:
- Be fit for the usual expected use of a similar good and, where applicable:
- Correspond to the description given by the seller and possess the qualities that the seller presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model;
- Present the qualities that a buyer can legitimately expect in view of public statements made by the seller, producer, or their representative, particularly in advertising or labeling;
- Or have the characteristics defined by mutual agreement of the parties or be fit for any special use sought by the buyer, communicated to the seller and accepted by them.
Article L211-12 also states that:
“The action resulting from a defect in conformity is prescribed by two years from the delivery of the good.”
It is thus recalled that when acting under the legal warranty of conformity, the customer:
- Benefits from a period of two years from the delivery of the good to act;
- Can choose between repair or replacement of the good, subject to the cost conditions provided in Article L211-9 of the Consumer Code;
The legal warranty of conformity applies independently of any commercial warranty that may be granted.
The manufacturer's warranties for products sold by Redwoodpaddle do not cover:
- The replacement of consumables,
- Abnormal or non-compliant use of the products. Customers are encouraged to carefully read the user manual provided with the products,
- Damages caused by an unauthorized repair service,
- Damages resulting from external causes (e.g., accidents, shocks, waves, lightning, power fluctuations...).
Consumers also have the right to a price reduction or to terminate the contract when the defect in conformity is so severe that it justifies an immediate price reduction or contract termination.
Consumers are not entitled to terminate the sale if the defect in conformity is minor.
Any period of immobilization of the good for its repair or replacement suspends the warranty that remained in effect until the delivery of the restored good.
The rights mentioned above result from the application of Articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the Consumer Code.
10.3 Regarding Legal Warranties Against Hidden Defects
Article 1641 of the Civil Code states that:
“The seller is liable for hidden defects of the sold item that render it unfit for the use intended, or that so diminish that use that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would have paid a lower price had they known of the defects.”
Meanwhile, Article 1648 stipulates that:
“The action resulting from redhibitory defects must be initiated by the buyer within a period of two years from the discovery of the defect.”
The customer may choose to invoke the warranty against hidden defects as defined in Article 1641 of the Civil Code. In this case, they may choose between the termination of the sale or a reduction in the sale price according to Article 1644 of the Civil Code.
However, the Customer understands that these legal warranties may not be invoked if the product's damages result from non-compliance with the instructions provided in the manuals and accompanying documents. In such cases, Redwoodpaddle will not be held liable under either the legal or commercial warranties outlined below.
Finally, Redwoodpaddle cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from force majeure or an external cause.
ARTICLE 11: RESPONSIBILITIES AND AFTER-SALES SERVICE (SAV)
11.1 After-Sales Service and Repairs
If the customer wishes to have repair services carried out outside of the warranty, we will provide a quote for this purpose. If necessary, preparing the offer requires the customer to make the equipment available for inspection at our facility in Canet en Roussillon.
11.2 Disputes and Responsibilities
The law applicable to this contract is French law.
In case of a dispute, the parties agree to make their best efforts to find an amicable solution that guarantees the interests of both parties before resorting to the courts, under penalty of inadmissibility of the request.
Redwoodpaddle cannot be held responsible for the non-performance of the contract concluded, on the one hand in the event of force majeure, as defined by the courts, and on the other hand in the event of fault by the customer or due to an unpredictable and insurmountable cause from a third party to the contract. Redwoodpaddle cannot be held responsible for the consequences resulting from the improper use of the products sold on the Site.
The dangers of the sports practiced largely depend on compliance with fundamental safety rules, priorities, and local regulations that apply at the spots.
It is the responsibility of each user of the products to ensure that they are at least covered by liability insurance, potentially by obtaining a sports license.
The rules for maintenance, use, and safety are detailed in the user manual provided with each product. The manual is an integral part of this contract, serving as a full annex. You acknowledge having read it carefully.
Redwoodpaddle cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by or to a user of a second-hand Redwoodpaddle product resold between individuals on any platform other than the website www.redwoodpaddle.com.
Indeed, the conformity of these products cannot be assured or guaranteed by Redwoodpaddle.
