How to choose the right leash for your board:
Boards less than or equal to 8'5: 8' leash
Boards between 8'5 and 9'5: 9' leash
Boards bigger than 9'5: 10' leash
If you're planning to do more flat water paddling / touring, you can reduce the size of your leash to avoid it dragging in the water. For SUP race boards and mainly flat water paddling a coiled telephone leash is the best choice.
